The award was presented by Timothy Finan, President and CEO, Olean General Hospital. The Golden Stethoscope Award was created in 2007 to recognize physicians who exhibit exceptional levels of professionalism, integrity and teamwork in caring for patients and families and in interacting with hospital staff members and other physicians. Dr. Hill is the fifth Exigence physician to earn the award since its inception. Other Exigence award winners include Drs. Mathanakaran, Prumbs, Pelechaty and Natali. A hospitalist is a physician whose primary professional focus is the general medical care of hospitalized patients.
